In June 2020, the night the George Floyd protests reached South Florida, I sat down and wrote a petition. I had lived in Plantation, Florida for years. I loved the city. But the name had always felt like a weight, and that night it became impossible to ignore. I put it on Change.org, went to sleep, and woke up to thousands of signatures.
The campaign grew fast. #PlantationNoMore and #AnythingButPlantation started circulating. By the time I stood up at city council to make my case, the petition had over 10,000 signatures. Two days later I was on CNN. Articles followed in Miami New Times, NBC 6, CBS Miami, WSVN and more. People I had never met were sharing it across the country.
The city did not change its name. But something else happened that I did not expect. I realized that one person with a clear message and the right platform could move people. That the gap between having an idea and making it heard was smaller than I thought. And I filed that away.
My Twitter handle through all of it was @OneSetOfFive. The name was already there. OSOF was already who I was. I just had not built the company yet.
OSOF stands for One Set of Five. I was born with one hand, and I know how it feels to navigate a world designed around assumptions that don’t include you. That experience isn’t a footnote. It’s the entire foundation of why this company exists.
In December 2025 I discovered vibe coding and agentic AI, and something clicked. What followed was a deep, self-driven dive into building: apps, automations, platforms, tools, all pointed at the same problem. Small businesses and everyday people are being priced out of the technology that could change everything for them. A clinic shouldn’t have to pay $80,000 a year for software that still doesn’t fit. A small business owner shouldn’t need to pay $1,000 a month for software that isn’t even fully customized to how they actually work.
The age of personal apps and micro-SaaS is here. I built OSOF to make sure it belongs to everyone, not just the ones who could already afford a seat at the table. I’m starting small. I’m scaling with intention. And I’m just getting started.
